The day runs on a shared schedule, so start times are firm. Exact timing shifts a little with the day's route and traffic. You'll cover a fair bit of walking on dirt paths and uneven ground, sometimes with light hiking, so closed-toe shoes with good grip make a real difference. Layers work best since temperatures swing over the course of the day. When you go into the cave churches and other religious sites, plan to cover your shoulders and knees.
