Rides run through daylight hours, and you can usually pick from several departure times. Early-morning slots catch the soft light around sunrise, sunset rides are a favorite for the same reason, and midday departures are available too. Because the trikes are open, the schedule depends on the weather: strong wind or heavy rain can push a ride to a safety-related cancellation, so it's worth confirming the exact times and availability with the operator when you book.

Dress for an open-air ride. Comfortable clothes you can move in work best, and layers help since temperatures shift through the day, bring a jacket or sweater in the cooler months. Closed-toe shoes are a must for a solid grip and for walking around at the photo stops. In warmer weather, add a hat or cap and sunglasses for the sun.
