This private half-day tour takes you to the resting places of the Sahaba, the companions of Prophet Muhammad, scattered across Istanbul's historic Eyup district. You'll see the tomb and mosque of Eyup El Ensari along with a dozen other companion tombs, with a private car, driver, and English-speaking guide for the roughly three hours you're out. A cable car ride is part of the day, and you'll have quiet time at each site to pray and reflect before returning to your hotel.

How the Sahaba Tombs Half-Day Tour Runs

Your guide meets you at your Istanbul hotel and you set out by private car for the Eyup district, the historic neighborhood along the Golden Horn where most of these sacred sites sit close together. The route moves between the tomb and mosque of Eyup El Ensari and a series of other Sahaba tombs, and a cable car ride is worked into the day to reach the higher ground above the district.

At each stop you get unhurried time to pray and reflect, so the pace stays calm rather than rushed. Note that the tour does not run on Mondays, since most of the tombs are closed that day. The whole outing takes about three hours from pickup to drop-off, and it ends back at your hotel.
