The Whirling Dervishes are a Sufi order whose spinning dance, performed in flowing white robes, has been part of Turkiye's spiritual life for some 800 years. You'll watch the ceremony inside the Hodjapasha Cultural Complex, a former Ottoman bathhouse in old Istanbul that's been restored after 550 years of use. An exhibition on site walks you through where the tradition comes from and what the dance actually means, and your ticket includes water and an explanatory flyer.
