Topkapi Palace Guided Tour with Entry Ticket, Istanbul
About this tour
Topkapi Palace was the seat of the Ottoman sultans for nearly four centuries, and this guided visit walks you through its courtyards, state rooms, and the private Harem quarters. A professional English-speaking guide fills in the history behind the Imperial Treasury's jewels and the sacred relics kept on site, while entry to the palace itself is included in your ticket. Plan on two to three hours to cover the main sections. The grounds sit right above the Bosphorus in Sultanahmet, an easy walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

Topkapi Palace Hours and Dress Code
Topkapi Palace is open every day except Tuesdays. From April 1 to October 1 the hours are 09:00 to 18:00, and from October 1 to April 1 they shorten to 09:00 to 17:00. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and the palace is closed on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
There is no formal dress code for the palace itself, but if you're combining your visit with nearby Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosque, it's best to skip anything too revealing. The complex covers a lot of ground, so comfortable clothing and shoes will make the day easier.
