Pamukkale Gates and Opening Hours
Pamukkale and the neighboring ancient city of Hierapolis are open every day, but you enter through more than one gate and each keeps its own hours. Which gate you pick affects how early you can arrive, how long you can stay, and how much of the crowd you run into. The South Gate is open 06:00 to 23:00, the widest window of the day, which is why sunrise visitors and late arrivals tend to use it. The Northern Gate, entered on foot, is open 08:00 to 21:00 and works well if you'd rather walk down through the Hierapolis ruins before you reach the terraces.
A couple of things inside the site keep separate hours and, in one case, need their own ticket. Cleopatra's Pool, where you swim among submerged columns, is open 08:00 to 20:00 and requires a separate ticket. The Hierapolis Archaeology Museum is also open 08:00 to 20:00, and it's better to stop in earlier in your visit rather than close to closing.
