Pamukkale's white travertine terraces spill down the hillside like a frozen waterfall, fed by warm mineral springs you can wade through barefoot. Your entry ticket covers the terraces and the ruins of Hierapolis right above them, where you can wander old Roman streets, gates, baths, and the large theater looking out over the valley. Opening Hours and Getting In
Pamukkale and the neighboring ancient city of Hierapolis are open every day, and there is more than one way in. The South Gate runs from 06:00 to 23:00, the widest window of the day, which is why it suits both sunrise visitors and anyone showing up later on. The North Gate (walk-in) is open 08:00 to 21:00 and works well if you want to stroll through the Hierapolis ruins first and reach the white terraces from above.
A couple of spots inside keep their own hours. Cleopatra's Pool, where you can swim among submerged columns, is open 08:00 to 20:00. The Hierapolis Archaeology Museum keeps the same 08:00 to 20:00 schedule, and it's worth heading there earlier in your visit rather than leaving it for the end of the day.
