Topkapi Palace: Hours, Dress Code, and What to Expect
Topkapi Palace is open every day except Tuesday. From April 1 to October 1, hours run 09:00 to 18:00, and from October 1 to April 1 they shift to 09:00 to 17:00. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing, and the palace is closed on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
There's no formal dress code at the palace itself, but if you're pairing your visit with Hagia Sophia or the nearby Blue Mosque, it's smart to skip overly revealing clothing since those are active places of worship. The complex is large and involves a fair amount of walking on stone paths and stairs, so comfortable clothes and shoes make the day easier.
