Galata Tower is a medieval stone tower that has anchored the Istanbul skyline since 1348, and this ticket gets you in with an audio guide plus a guided walk through the surrounding Galata neighborhood. Galata Tower Opening Hours and Visit Planning
Galata Tower runs two separate visiting sessions each day, so you can plan around the crowds and the light. The daytime session is open 08:30 to 18:14, with the last tickets sold at 17:45. If you'd rather see the city lit up after dark, the Night Museum session opens again 19:00 to 23:00, and the final ticket goes on sale at 22:00.
The tower sits in the Galata neighborhood on the north side of the Golden Horn, an easy walk uphill from Karakoy and close to Istiklal Avenue. Give yourself the tail end of an afternoon slot or the start of the evening one if you want to catch sunset from the observation deck.

Important Information
- It gets busy in high season; book ahead and aim for a morning slot.
- An elevator covers most of the way up, but the final flights are a narrow spiral staircase, hard for those with mobility issues.
- Photography is allowed; flash may be restricted near the exhibits.
- A cafe and souvenir shop are on site.
- The observation deck is open-air and can be windy in cooler months, so bring a light jacket.
- Pairs well with a walk across Galata Bridge, coffee in Karakoy, or a stroll along Istiklal Avenue.
