This private walking tour links some of Istanbul's most atmospheric spots: the medieval Galata Tower with its 360-degree city views, the busy Galata Bridge, and the color and aromas of the Spice Bazaar. You'll also wander the old streets of Fener and Balat, two of the city's most photogenic neighborhoods. A local guide leads the way, tram tickets are covered, and beverages are included along the route. Along the way you'll hear the legend of Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi, who is said to have flown from the tower.

Galata Tower Visiting Hours

Galata Tower runs two separate visiting sessions each day, so you can plan the walk around whichever suits you. The daytime session is open from 08:30 to 18:14, with the last tickets sold at 17:45.

In the evening the tower reopens as the Night Museum from 19:00 to 23:00, and the final tickets go on sale at 22:00. If you want the city lit up below you, the evening slot is worth timing your visit for.
