Good to Know Before You Ski

The Erciyes ski resort runs through the winter, roughly early December to late March, with the exact opening and closing dates set by how much snow has fallen. On a normal day the lifts operate from 09:00 to 17:00. Heavy snow, strong winds, or poor visibility can shorten those hours or close the mountain outright for safety, so conditions on the day have the final say.

Dress in layers: a moisture-wicking base, an insulating mid-layer like fleece, and a waterproof, windproof jacket and pants on top. Bring warm waterproof gloves or mittens, a hat, ski socks, and goggles or sunglasses to protect your eyes from glare off the snow. Ski boots and a helmet are required, and both come with the rental gear in your package.
