Rides run at several points across the day, but the sunrise and sunset slots book up fastest, since that's when the light over the valleys is at its best and the temperature is easiest on both you and the horse. Ride times and availability vary by operator, so it's worth booking ahead, especially in the busy summer months, to lock in the time you want.
Dress for comfort and safety. Long pants or jeans keep your legs from chafing against the saddle, and a long-sleeved shirt helps with sun cover. Wear closed-toe shoes or boots with a low heel so your feet sit properly in the stirrups, and skip anything loose or flowing that could snag on the horse or the tack. In the colder months, layer up. A helmet is provided.
