Good to Know Before Your Green Tour
Hotel pickups run between 09:00 and 10:00, and you're back at your accommodation by late afternoon or early evening, usually around 17:00 to 18:00. Plan on a full day out. Exact times shift a little with the season and the driver's route, but the shape of the day stays the same: travel between sites, guided visits, and a lunch break in between.
Wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots, since you'll be on your feet through the Ihlara Valley trail and inside the underground city. Dress in layers because the temperature changes over the course of the day and at different elevations. There's no strict dress code, but modest clothing is appreciated at the churches and monasteries. A hat and sunglasses help for the outdoor stretches.
